2026 HONORARY DOCTORATE (Honoris Causa) AWARD RECIPIENTS

Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa)
Award Program
The Honorary Doctorate Award is a distinguished recognition conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and impact in ministry, education, humanitarian work, social development, or related fields. This award is granted as an acknowledgment of proven contribution, moral credibility, and sustained influence, rather than through conventional academic coursework.
The award reflects the institution’s commitment to honoring individuals whose life’s work aligns with ethical leadership, service to humanity, and transformational impact at local, national, or international levels. The Honorary Doctorate is non-academic in nature and does not replace earned doctoral degrees obtained through formal academic study. It is strictly a recognition of merit, service, and legacy.
Institutional Statement
The Honorary Doctorate Award is reserved for individuals whose lives exemplify service, sacrifice, leadership, and excellence. It is not awarded frequently and is never treated as a commercial credential. The integrity of this honor reflects the integrity of the institution itself.
Eligibility Requirements To be considered for an Honorary Doctorate Award, a nominee must meet the following minimum criteria:
1. Demonstrated Impact
Evidence of significant and measurable contribution in ministry, leadership, education, humanitarian service, governance, or social development.
Impact should extend beyond personal or local benefit.
2. Minimum Years of Service
At least 5–10 years of consistent and verifiable service in the relevant field.
3. Moral and Ethical Standing
A reputation for integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership.
No record of serious moral, legal, or ethical misconduct.
4. Leadership Influence
Recognized as a leader, mentor, reformer, or pioneer whose work has influenced individuals, institutions, or communities.
5. Peer or Institutional Nomination
Candidates must be nominated by a recognized institution, organization, board member, or senior leader.
Self-nomination is generally discouraged unless supported by strong third-party endorsements.
6. Alignment with Institutional Values
The nominee’s values, doctrine (where applicable), and public conduct must align with the core mission and principles of the awarding institution.

1. The Honorary Doctorate is awarded solely at the discretion of the institution’s Governing Council or Academic Board.
2. The award must not be purchased, negotiated, or exchanged for donations, favors, or financial contributions.
3. Recipients must use the title responsibly and accurately, clearly indicating it as Honorary where required.
